Using a pair of pliers and some easy-to-find objects, students will learn how to make their own ear wires and clasps to make their own inspired jewelry from San Francisco jeweler Sharon Zimmerman. In this class, you will learn how to form ear wires, make clasps and jump rings using essential metalworking techniques. Learn how your ideas go from paper to reality through what we in the jewelry world call cold connections (no torch needed!). These are techniques you'll be able to take out of the classroom and practice at home. You'll leave with a finished pair of dangle earrings, one clasp, and a pendant, plus tons of ideas for future projects. This 2.5-hour workshop includes all materials, snacks and beverages.
